JOB TITLE: PRODUCT MANAGER

- This is NOT an Operations job position.
- Individual will be working in the Marketing Dept based in Lake Forest, Illinois- Individual must be familiar with product line marketing strategies
- Individual will focus on our Foodservice Division
- Relocation Packages are contigent upon candidate's strong background experience
- Individual with product management experience in the food markets
- Individual who is familiar with disposables or consumable marketing (or sales)





Duties:PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and deliver an annual update to the three-to-five-year strategic plan, including a five year product roadmap defining evolving customer requirements and technology paths available to develop products to meet the end-user needs in the Food Division markets.
· Develop an annual business and marketing plan for each SBU within the Food Division including product family volume, revenue, and gross margin forecasts by product line.
· Track and measure results to plan, and analyze new opportunities to continually learn and prioritize future growth investments.
· Prepare annual expense budgets that are coordinated with the Channel Development and Sales teams to deliver the requirements to execute distributor and end-user marketing programs for the Food Division.
· Execute and track Food marketing programs, measuring and publishing ROI and revenue results.
· Represent Food Division and co-lead monthly demand forecasting meetings with Operations for products and samples.
· Implement and own the process to regularly profile, test, and catalogue competitive information to become the food market industry expert on competitive intelligence.
· Own, develop, and deliver Food product and market training materials and programs for Food Sales Team and other internal employees.
· Display solid project management skills in working with New Product Development Manager to commercialize and market new products for the Food Division.
· Lead sustaining product management efforts to maximize Food market penetration and effectively manage the product life cycle process of existing products in the portfolio.
· Develop coordinated marketing launch plans and programs with the Director of Channel Development and Sales teams for all new product launches, ensuring committed timelines meet evolving customer needs and differentiate our product portfolio in the marketplace.
· Work closely with Marketing Communications team to oversee all claims, messaging, and information contained in Food publication/print advertisements, direct mail campaigns, press releases, and trade articles to help make sure the products are positioned correctly, key benefits are identified, and that the message is aligned with the strategy and the Food team business plan.
· Conduct market research to evaluate Food market share, market trends, and segment penetration opportunities by product and by SBU.
· Utilize CRM and SDS analysis tools to understand and publish trends by product line and by market, to effectively help the Food Field Sales and Channel Sales teams achieve annual objectives.



Qualifications:Requirements

Education:
• BA or BS degree in marketing, technical, clinical or scientific field.
• MBA in marketing preferred.

Experience:
• 2-4 years experience as a Product Manager.
• Product management experience in the food, laboratory/scientific markets preferred.
• Disposables/consumables sales or marketing experience preferred.

• Strong financial, market planning and analysis skills.
• Strong leadership, organization, interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
