| Description: | I. PURPOSE OF JOB
The primary purpose of this position is to lead the geographic sales efforts (DE, NJ, E.PA, E.NY, CT, RI, VT, NH, ME, MA) to achieve annual growth objectives by converting new end users to Microflex products and gain support of the distributor sales organizations to grow our market share. This position has responsibility for understanding the business units strategic plan, identifying new opportunities to convert end users to Microflex products, working with those end users to close new business, and gaining support of the distributor sales managers and representatives to lead with our products in converting new business.
II. SCOPE
Under broad supervision, this position reports to the Director, Sales. In executing position responsibilities, the Regional Sales Manager will work closely with the following internal positions/departments:
Corporate Accounts Manager Maximize growth opportunities from national distributors by getting support from their sales organizations to lead with our products to close new business and to develop strategies to maximize growth opportunities at key regional distributors.
Product Manager and/or Associate Product Manager Understand the growth strategy for the various market segments, and to study and master the training material provided.
Sales Support Department Involve the inside team in understanding the business plan for the geography, and to develop a plan together to maximize the relationship between Microflex and their distributor sales representatives. Involve the Sales Support Department in all business maintenance activities and distributor support to free up as much time as possible to close new end users.
National Accounts Manager Maximize growth opportunities from national accounts by implementing strategy to drive compliance at the regional level.

| Duties: | III. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish a business plan to achieve the planned growth in the geography. Coordinate all planning activities with the overall business unit strategic plan to achieve growth plans by product and by market.
Develop an understanding and become proficient in the consultative sales process and training materials taught to achieve growth objectives.
Through various sources available, develop a qualified list of business opportunities to convert users to Microflex products. Maintain this opportunity list so that the total of the value of the opportunities is over three times the annual growth objective.
Consistently convert new business each month to achieve planned growth, while also leveraging the distributor sales representatives to gain additional new business. Travel throughout the geographic territory to maximize the time in front of qualified opportunities.
Provide training for distributor sales teams to increase their understanding of our products and services to gain their support to lead with our products. Build relationships with key distributor sales managers and representatives to gain support for end user conversions, and to obtain clear selling direction to lead with our products.
Maintain customer data into company database to increase the efficiency of account management, manage pipeline development, and to be used for forecasting purposes.
Participate with the marketing teams to assure that competitive intelligence is up to date.
Prepare periodic sales reports demonstrating that the pipeline of opportunities is sufficient to achieve planned growth, and that dollar value of closed business is leading to expected performance.

| Qualifications: | IV. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Education:
BA/BS in Business Management or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience within the territory for which you are assigned.
Qualifications:
Must currently reside in, have familiarity with the current applicable distribution network in, and be familiar and possess knowledge of the territory for which you are assigned. Must also have the ability to immediately apply this knowledge to devise and implement a business strategy within the territory.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must be able to quickly utilize corporate technology, i.e., CRM, SDS
